$ automation_philosophy

"When building datacenters, no one can afford to do things manually. Everything from getting/setting the iLO/iDrac/IPMI to maintaining and updating firmware on year 4, to updating the kernel and rotating keys, etc."

Automation isn't just a convenience—it's a necessity. At datacenter scale, manual operations are error-prone, time-consuming, and simply don't scale. Every task, from initial provisioning to ongoing maintenance, must be automated, tested, and version-controlled.

$ hobbies --personal

Beyond professional work, I enjoy hands-on electronics and hardware projects:

  • Drone Building:Custom FPV drones, flight controllers, and aerial systems
  • Soldering & Electronics:PCB assembly, component-level repair, and custom circuits
  • Microcontrollers:Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi projects and embedded systems

These hobbies complement my professional work—understanding hardware at the component level provides valuable perspective when managing datacenter infrastructure at scale.
